How does the Pulsed Low Level Laser Work?

Cold Laser Therapy - Low Level Laser Therapy

Research using the Handy Cure Laser

One of the key differentiators of the pulsed Handy Pulse Laser device is that it combines the 905nm infrared pulsed laser with the additional modalities of infrared LED and red LED light with a magnetic field, which is thought to provide synergistic therapeutic effects.

Professor Friedmann conducted some research with the Handy Pulse Laser (also known as "Handy Cure") to examine the effects of this 3-radiance combination.

"The bio-photochemical effect of the “Handy Cure” device is due to the remarkable synergy between a laser of very low average intensity, mild LED radiation and a low-intensity magnetic field." (1) Professor Friedmann

A simple experiment by Professor Friedmann found the Handy Pulse Laser may enhance cellular electron transfer.

"The fact that this remarkable synergy enhances electron transfer, has important consequences:

  • Activation of the respiratory chain in the mitochondria;and
  • Accompanied by ATP production; and
  • Cell Proliferation

These combined effects show that “Handy Cure” may improve wound healing by accelerating the replacement of damaged cells." (1)

The physiological effects of laser light at low intensity are not completely understood, but what is known are three main effects:

  • Biostimulation/tissue regeneration
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Analgesic pain relief
